October 2003 on JAM 88.3, MYLES DELA FUENTE (vocals) met EAZER PASTOR (guitars) who agreed to play for her on Jam Sessions. After
a year, they recorded a cover for the program’s Christmas Special.
In
2005, Myles fronted Eazer’s pop-alternative band, Cube, and the two started to compose original songs for the group. They played these
songs in concerts and events like NU 107 House of Rock (UP Bahay ng Alumni, with Parokya ni Edgar), UNTV 2nd Year Anniversary Concert (Marikina Sports
Complex, with Alamid), SMB Night Street
Party (Balanga City, Bataan, with Cueshe), and Centennial Celebration
of Bud Dahu’ (UP Diliman), as well as in bars
like Bistro 110, OJ’s, Grilla, Moomba, Zayteenya
and Greenhouse Grill. They continued to promote their originals in radio on Jam
88.3’s Jam Sessions and Christmas Special, and television in Maynila and Walang Tulugan (GMA 7), Dahil
sa ‘Yong Paglisan (QTV 11), Breakfast (Studio 23), Jojo A. All
The Way, Gimme a Break and Hapi Our (RJTV),
Pilipinas, Gising Ka Na Ba? (UNTV), and Tunog Kalye (PRIME Channel).
They released their debut CD of original songs titled FROM DOWN UNDER, initially distributed by Galaxy Records, in 2006. Music videos of the cuts Summer Love Affair
(directed by Richard Arellano), Not Yours and Bud Dahu' (Digmaan sa Alapaap) (feat. Nastymac,
directed by Soxie Topacio) were seen on Myx (Studio 23), MTV Pilipinas,
and MMS (QTV 11). The first two songs
mentioned also enjoyed airplay on Jam 88.3 and a few other local radio stations. Later
that year, their original Christmas
single, Pasko Na, was included in Jam 88.3’s NOT ANOTHER CHRISTMAS ALBUM 3.
Eazer
and Myles moved on as MYLIA band in
2008, and were featured in GMA FILMS’ digital trilogy, Angel of Love, which starred Jennilyn
Mercado and Patrick Garcia, under the direction of Mark Reyes. They performed at 19th East Bar, Greenhouse Grill (anniversary concert with Top Suzara), Federaland Annual Awards in Le Pavillion, Bistro 110, and Fiesta San Miguel Bar in Dusit Hotel. In August, their original Deep
Sleep was theme in an episode of Dear Friend (GMA 7) which starred Polo Ravales
and Glaiza de Castro.
